Amran Idris is a Chartered Accountant and seasoned entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience in finance, technology, and organisational leadership across both the public and private sectors. He is currently the Executive Director of 3F Resources Sdn Bhd (3FRSB), a company he has led since 2005 and under which the organisation was recognised as one of Malaysia’s 100 SME Fast Moving Companies (2011) and inducted into the TERAS High Performing Bumiputera Programme (2014) under TERAJU.
He began his career with KPMG, specialising in the Financial Services and Oil & Gas (downstream) sectors, before moving into leadership roles in the technology industry, including as the Chief Executive Officer of Swift Applications Sdn Bhd and Finance Manager at Precision Portal Sdn Bhd. His early exposure to large-scale digital and mobile initiatives has shaped his expertise in digital transformation and strategic project execution.
Amran is a Chartered Accountant (C.A.) of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and a Fellow Chartered Management Accountant (FCMA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) under CIMA. His leadership development includes international executive programmes such as the Smart Business Leaders Program at the European School of Management and Technology, Berlin (2016), and the Executive Digital Leadership Programme at Asia School of Business (MIT Affiliate), Kuala Lumpur (2025).
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Al-Hijrah Media Corporation (owner-operator of TV AlHijrah) and was previously a Board Member of Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd, both wholly owned by the Ministry of Finance. His contributions to academia include serving as a Member of the Board of Studies for the Kuliyyah of Economics & Management Sciences at IIUM and as an Industry Assessor for UNITAR’s MBA programme.
Amran is also actively involved in community development as one of the Board of Trustee for the Amanie Care Foundation, supporting primary school students from the B40 community. His longstanding involvement with alumni and community organisations reflects his commitment to public service and youth development.
