LHDNM had difficulties to manually record the stamp duty collection from the public as there is no electronic system in place. There are 48 branches of LHDNM that need to use the new propose electronic stamp duty collection as to ease the business operation.
TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS
3FRSB had conducted an extensive analysis study after being awarded the project in 2008. The e-Stamping System was successfully put into commercial operation in June 2009. Subsequently, the systems were enhanced to support duty collection additional requirement of LHDNM in stamp duty collection business operations and are in good running condition till to-date.
BUSINESS IMPACT
The commissioning of e-Stamping system by LHDNM has reduced the timeframe compared to manual transaction. As it is a web-based system with a tight security features, the authorized agents are now confidently made the transactions without any hesitation.
